EDWARDSVILLE - Want to dress up those windows? Now you can see it before you buy it. Bonnie and Jeffrey Criley have established the first V2K Window Decor & More franchise in the metro-east. They will visit your home and attempt to design a virtual interior on a computer screen.

Whether it's shades, blinds, shutters or draperies, Bonnie Criley said V2K's state-of-the-art 3-D software can come up with a look to match your home.

"We can show bay windows, we can change the frame, we have a fabric library, and we can show how it will look with wood floors," said Criley, who operates the business from her home in Edwardsville. "It really gives them a pretty good idea of what it will look like."

Denver-based V2K offers over 2,000 products and accessories, including 1,500 fabric samples for the customer to choose from and samples that customers can see, touch and feel before selecting. Criley takes the customer's room measurements along with the colors and textures of the room's existing floor and wall treatments and enters that data into a laptop on site.

Criley said the demand for custom interior home design is increasing. She and her husband, who owns Viper Express Trucking Company in Bethalto, were searching for a second career and discovered the virtual interior design business online.

She said the franchise not only accommodates her clients, but her schedule, too.

"I think everyone is very busy, and they don't have the time to go out to a local store to meet a designer," she said. "We make it convenient for them."
